Caramelised Apples
Caramelised apples are a classic autumn treat featuring crisp apples coated in a luxurious caramel sauce. The nostalgic flavour make them a favourite for both children and adults. These apples are a fab way to celebrate the flavours of the season and pair perfectly with our Cinnamon Pancake Mix.

 

What you need

  • 1tbp Butter 
  • 30g Brown Sugar
  • 1tbp Water
  • 2 Apples

Method

  1. Heat your sauce pan over a medium heat, melt the butter, then add the water, sugar and chopped peeled apples.
  2. Stir and cook for about 3 minutes over until the sugar has dissolved, then lower the heat to a low heat and continue cooking, stirring often for about 8-10 minutes, add a sprinkle of cinnamon in for the last 2 minutes. The apples should be soft and the sauce a golden brown colour.
  3. Serve on top of our Cinnamon Pancakes for a autumnal treat.
